We (5 of us) had a "girls" weekend away. I say girls but actually we are all early 50s. On arrival the lady said "oh. You're lucky to catch me as I was just going out" I wasn't expecting you until 4pm". Not a great welcome. especially as we hadn't specified a time of arrival. The B&B had said we... More

We arranged an early check in, our room was nice and bright, with everything you would expect. There was a lot of free parking around the area which was fab. Our room had a great view, and the owners were so nice, they made a real difference to our stay. The breakfast was nice, and we have already booked to... More

St Pauls is in a great location, right on a Bus Route, and just six or seven minutes walk from the Train Station . The Town Centre is around fifteen minuets walk. There is a really good car park at the rear of the premises and free parking at the front, a bonus in York. Our room was clean and... More

I recently stayed for one night at St. Paul's 'hotel'. I'll start with the positives - the room was very dark until long into the morning and they have a late checkout which was great because I really like lie ins. The room was well laid out and I had a corner bunk - I could have hidden there for... More

Ever seen Westworld? When you can re-create your fantasies in a variety of scenarios and time periods? Well, if you like the thought of Nazi Germany or have read Anne Franks' book and thought it sounded like a good laugh, then this is the place for you. The owner was in the guise of Herr Hitler himself for the weekend(... More

We stayed in the studio duplex room that comfortably slept 12. Unfortunately there was only one bathroom so all hopes of a decent sword fight were quashed. The only format we could have was the traditional 1 v1. We enjoyed our day at the races, but after wasting a lot of eggs splashing MacGivers on the bugle of the hoorses,... More

We stayed last night at St Paul's Lodge in York, and found the hotel to be very good. The hotel is in a good location, with a car park to the rear. We arrived and checked in early, and left the car to go and explore the city. The staff were friendly and gave us some recommendations for eating out... More

Just back from a weekend here. Originally when confirmation came through we were booked in the attic room which was no good as we are both tall. This was amended quickly with no problem via email. I also had a later booking in time which was not an issue. The staff were brilliant and the breakfast very good. The room... More
