A lovely setting right next to the river and the rooms are pleasant and functional. The usual desk, tea/coffee, very nice bathroom and a comfy bed which gave me a very restful night's sleep. I stay here 4 times per year as a student. Student rooms are clean but basic. Comfortable beds and well prep'd The restaurant is good and breakfasts are excellent. I am told the main buildings rooms are good but have not experienced them

I've stayed here a few times with work between June - October 2012. The rooms in the new block are best - modest in size, but clean and well furnished. The two bars and bar food are excellent. Buffet breakfast was good with views over the river. The gym also has river front views.
