We can only echo the five star reviews already given for this guest house. Spotlessly clean and with a very welcoming atmosphere, we couldn't find fault with any aspect of it. As other people have said, Carol the owner is unfailingly friendly and helpful - someone for whom nothing is too much trouble. We've already recommended this place to friends... More

A very pleasant bed and breakfast. Excellent service and very friendly. Superb breakfast. Rooms clean and well equipped! Well located just outside city centre. Easy to reach by bus or taxi. Would thoroughly recommend it!

I stayed in a single room on the first floor for three nights in December 2012 as I was in Oxford for research at the Bodleian. I can warmly recommend anyone going to Oxford to stay at this charming B&B. Carol is - as many reviewers have written - very friendly and welcoming. The room was small and the bathroom... More

When we arrived we were greeted like old friends by Carol, a lovely, friendly and very helpful hostess. For her, nothing is too much trouble. Our beautiful room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was superb and we were offered a wide choice. The location is very handy for Oxford city centre with plenty of buses or a pleasant... More

Had the ground floor room. Small but didn't matter because we only slept there. And didn't have to carry luggage upstairs. Excellent breakfast and very friendly service. Location also fine: several buses pass the house and some 20-25 minutes walk to city centre isn't too much. Only minus hasn't got anything to do with accommodation: two days was far too... More

It's people like Carol that make a guest house so much better than a hotel - a genuine friendliness and helpfulness. Like staying with a really nice aunty :) The room was nicely decorated and clean with modern en suite bathroom. The bed in my room was comfortable but not luxurious, the shower was electric so ok but not massively... More

I came here for a surprise pre- birthday weekend. I have never been to Oxford before and I really did enjoy it, and there is so much more to see! We were in room 2. The bathroom door does bang into the table with the TV on, but nothing broke, so that's OK! The room is spotlessly clean, lovely toiletries... More

Spent just one night at Cornerways and we will certainly use it again. Warm, welcoming and beautifully clean. Excellent breakfast served in a lovely conservatory. Great location for us and off street parking was a bonus.Thank you, Carol.

We stayed there mid july, we had the larger room with a double bed and a single bed in the room for our daughter. Our son stayed in a separate double room. Both rooms are upstairs , so if you have a lot of luggage you will have to lug it upstairs, although carol the only was very happy to help... More

This is the first time I write a review of an hotel. We were only 2 nights in this guest house, but would have stayed longer, since we had a nice stay here. The ensuite room for 3 people was very clean and light. The bathroom wasn't big, but it has everything you need. The house has got a beautiful... More
