We stayed at Gables Guest House for a week and it was a great experience! Sally Tompkins is a terrific landlady who really loves what she does, and it shows. That B&Bs can vary so widely in quality is down to the personality and motivation of their owners. The Gables is a great example of how this principle works at its best. Very nice guest house. Extremely clean. Owners have put in some very thoughtful touches with spare blankets, loads of towels and other small luxuries. Excellent guest house with great service for anyone visiting the Oxford area. Rooms are immaculate and the service at Breakfast is superb. Only downside is a slightly noisy road in the front rooms but more than offset by the plus factors. Cosy rooms with beautiful bedding (including lots of comfy cushions!) & a good range of TV channels. Lots of little extras (eg: chocolates in our room). Excellent breakfast selection as well. There was a small amount of noise from the main road outside but this did not disturb our sleep. More
