i have stayed here a couple of times, it is clean and the rooms are more than adequate, the biggest problem is that it is very noisy, hen and stag weekends are hosted here but it is the sheer banging of doors as they close. if they could sort the level of noise from banging doors & noisy guests this... Thank you for your review, we are currently reviewing the noise levels regarding the doors and are sourcing a supplier to cushion the frames. When you visit again, i would suggest you try the boat into Bath along the canals as it is a WOW way to take in further sights and relax not too be missed, if you ask... More

We booked this hotel using our Buy a Gift voucher. Unfortunately, I had forgotton to take the voucher with us, which we were asked for when we checked in. I explained the error to the receptionist (Kamila) who was lovely. She called the Reservations Manager to confirm we would be alright to forward it on when we returned home and... More

Expected country house and got mishmash of ugly modern buildings. Had up-graded room so dread to think what standard room was like. Oz couple with us very disappointed. It was clean enough but stained carpets and lumpy bed. Pleasant staff and good breakfast but having booked 2 nights only stayed one. Wish I had read reviews before booking. More

Thank you for your review, the website does state and show that all the rooms are in an adjacent building i do apologise if you feel you have been misled. The cream carpets are cleaned every month and we are currently discussing changing these. The bed i do not understand as all upgrade rooms have bed toppers on and i... More

Just got back from a weekend here and it was pretty good, the staff here are really friendly and do try and help although there are many foreign workers here who's English is a little broken but we got by. The rooms are very clean and warm with piping hot water which is always a plus point, we did upgrade... More

Thank you for your feedback, we always appreciate it when our guests take the time to let other guests review there stay. I would like to point out that the Hot tub is tested and cleaned daily every morning but unfortunately we cannot monitor 24/7 other guests habits when they enter or leave the hot tub. I am sorry that... More

Bailbrook House is set in a good location and has beautiful grounds housing a lovely historic buidling with an interesting history. We were welcomed by efficient staff and headed to our room (which are housed in separate blocks behind the historic building). At first we were a little taken aback as it appeared to be almost dormitory style accommodation and... More

That was the second time we had stayed in this hotel which means disappointed twice. The first was for our honeymoon in 2008 for one week which cost us nearly 2mnths salary for basic accommodation, not even champagne and the second this month for a conference, have stayed for two days after-4days in total. First the receptionist could not find... More

Having searched for a central place to hold a meeting with two business colleagues I plucked out the Bailbrook House, excellent choice, the room, layout was exactly as requested. Although the checklist at the beginning of the meeting would be best served to a large booking it did mean that the coffees, lunch etc arrived when we asked for it,... More

I was wanting to book a room for the weekend of the 28th/29th of January and I was told that there were rooms availible. When I mentioned the BUY-A-GIFT voucher I was transferred to another member of staff who then told me that there were no rooms availible with the voucher! Not impressed at all and from the reviews it... More

Contrary to some of the recent comments, we received a Buy-a-Gift voucher for Xmas, and we made a booking for a break at the end of March. We had a very good exchange of emails with hotel staff and we were able to have the break on the dates we wanted. Given most of the other reviews, we are looking... More
