I was very impressed with the service I received, my room was comfortable, with everything I needed and had great character, as did the house, really beautiful. My host was attentive, but not intrusive. I arrived in the evening, and went down the road to the local pub and had a delicious dinner of roast lamb, with a few glasses... More

The stay at Weston Lawn was very comfortable indeed with all the comforts of home. The hotel is in a residential area so it is very quiet. It is ideally placed for the Royal United Bath Hospital which is close by. We had a short walk down the road for our evening meal at the Old Crown pub with a... More

Thank you for your kind words and Fiona and I are glad you enjoyed your stay with us - and your meal at the Old Crown. You are right about Wifi, the reception in rooms can be poor due to the thickness of our walls. It is fine in the Cottage, which has its own system, and OK in the... More

We stayed in the Garden Room. The room had a separate door to the outside, which was nice, and an en-suite with bath. The room and bathroom were lovely and clean. Furnishings were OK, the bed was comfortable and it was quiet. We were cold the first night as the heating wasn't on, but the owners had put a heater... More

Fiona and I are pleased that our guests enjoyed their stay at Weston Lawn, but they have raised here the issue of heating and hot water which we are sorry about. When the weather is cold we do have additional heaters in all Bedrooms which supplement the central heating. There is also an additional heater in the Dining Room which... More

We (wife and two children) stayed in the cottage adjacent to the house, which is equipped with a useful kitchen and an adequate bathroom. I would recommend for a couple of days, but for longer stays it might be a bit cramped. Convenient for the centre of town.

Yes, the Cottage is popular with families as it is secluded and no one can hear the children fighting! We do make a point of describing the Cottage as accurately as possible and some families would find it a bit cramped for a long stay. On the other hand, we have had families staying happily for 2 weeks and longer.... More

Lovely B&B, with lovely and kind owners. Our room too, the garden room was spacious and wonderfully warm. It did not have access to the beautiful gardens on the photograph, but than again it was too cold in February 2013 to sit outside. The breakfast room though, was too cold for us. The room has all the style one could... More

Thank you for your kind words and we are very glad you enjoyed staying in the Garden Room. Sorry though that the Dining Room was not warm enough for you, we did have an extra heater in the room but I obviously didn't use it early enough in the morning. More

We arrived at Weston Lawn, to a very welcoming host and was allowed to leave the car in the grounds even though we arrived 3 hours before check in. Thank you for your comments which are much appreciated. There is something though which I must correct. Of our 5 rooms, 3 are en suite. I has a private bathroom (i.e. not en suite but exclusive use) and 1 has an en suite shower room. The toilet for these 2 rooms is shared. More

I wasn't going to give a review as we were there two nights as a convenience, working and leaving immediately the third morning, but another review mentioned the cat and the owner's respons drove me to this. Not quite sure what to say about this review. Reading an unpleasant personal remark is not very nice. His comment that the food seemed rationed is hard to understand. Guests help themselves to everything on the sideboard, as much as they like and we ask guests if they would like more. Guests who wish to have a full cooked English... More
