An atmospheric propery, some might feel shabby chic or rather dismal. Our room was very good with comfortable bed, well furnished and equipped. Minor issue on arrival with toilet seat which was immediately remedied. Dinner was excellent on each of our three nights, although did feel additional charge for after dinner coffee was a bit much.
