We visited Lavenham over the long weekend and stayed at the Priory Suite at the Lavenham Priory. Despite the age of the building, the comfort of the room and the quality to the fixtures and fittings was excellent. Nice towels. The bed was extremely comfortable ensuring a good nights sleep and the room wasn't haunted!! Tim, the host, was very... More

This was my second stay at Lavenham Priory in the beautiful medieval village of Lavenham. The Priory is a grade 1 listed building dating from the 13th Century, restored to its appearance in Elizabethan times when it was owned by wealthy cloth merchants. The individually decorated rooms are full of character and the breakfasts are excellent. You couldn't find a... More

We were the only people staying at this beautiful Priory in Feb 2013. We loved the magnificent log fire that we came into each evening and the super comfy bed! Our host was extremely friendly and helpful with guiding us to the areas' most picturesque villages. Only one minute hiccup was that the cook was unable to serve up a... More

I think that this is the best B&B I have ever stayed at. Beautiful building. Warm welcome. Fresh milk and a selection of teas in the gorgeous bedroom. Wonderful breakfast - especially the homemade quince jam. Massive sense of history

We have returned to this rather unique and wonderfully restored 13th C priory with its Tudor and Jacobean features including a large welcoming fireplace and a wealth of timber beams. We occupied this time the great chamber for two nights and our enthusiasm for the place has not waned. The location is perfect within a few steps from the market place and... Stayed at the priory for one night staying in the "Merchants Chamber". This house is absolutely beautiful and would recommend it. We had a lovely four poster bed in the room. Everything is first class and go and see it for yourselves - its a bit of history.

Recently had one night stay at The Priory and stayed in the "Merchants Chamber" with a lovely four poster bed. The house is just lovely with a wonderful inglenook fireplace, great library if you stay long enough to read any books. I cannot express how lovely this house is you have to stay there yourself to see it. Highly recommended.... More

Just returned from a three night stay in the Priory, our room was the 13th century "Painted Chamber" with its wonderful four poster bed and ancient beams everywhere! Very relaxed stay, so nice to be able to curl up in the chairs in the main hall and soak up heat from the inglenook fire.....it was snowing for a couple of... More

Having recommended the Priory to a friend he then fed back to us not very nice write ups on tripadvisor so I decided to take a look. We have stayed around ten times now, visited every room bar one, some several times. We have never had a bad experience, you can look the bedroom doors from the inside when you... More

This was our third stay and it was every bit as enjoyable as both the two other times. The house was lovely and warm and welcoming, as were Gilli and Tim. Logs ablaze in the massive inglenook fireplace... gorgeous and very comfortable polonaise bed... good wine and port from the honour bar (and at very reasonable prices) - I haven't... More
