Stayed here for a long weekend and must say that it a stunning hotel. It feels really fancy when you arrive as there are big crystal chandeliers over the massive oak staircases leading up to the rooms! The staff were friendly and helpful too. The room we stayed in was really modern and looked like it had recently been refurbished,... More

I have stayed in this hotel several times and it can't be that bad as I keep going back. On a plus the hotel building is lovely with beautiful chandeliers and staircases, the breakfast is very good and the gym is a plus. On a negative, the hotel rooms are very noisy. Any rooms facing the front of the hotel... More

Right next to the station, this hotel is clearly an aging classic hotel with grand staircases and a majestic history. Although not the top class hotel it once was, iris still in excellent condition and the service and room was excellent (though a touch cold). Perfect for my one night stay on a bsiness trip. More

Hotel is fine and seems to have been done up recently. The hotel back right onto the station so it is great being so close for rail travellers. The down side is that if your room is at the back of the hotel you will get the noise from the station from early in the morning until late at night.... More

I booked a single room for the night - which was about the average price, on arrival was greeted by a very pleasant receptionist (male) who was very polite - a good impression!! when I entered my room I couldn't believe how small it was - I think the word 'bijou' comes to mind!! it had to be the smallest... I spend a night there. First and last time. I booked this over the lastminute site and made a mistake... Book a room for myself only.... The price was OK. Then lady at reception told me that because I was booking for one person and there are two of us I have to pay higher rate. I expected that I... More

Stayed at the station hotel last week for a night. Very impressive decor in lobby but let down by attitude of check in staff, a smile would be nice!! Room was clean and bed very comfortable but we were in a room that didn't have a window (well it did but only into the corridor) and the air conditioning unit... More

we stayed at this hotel 7/01/12 for 1 night and the room (executive suite) was absolutely georgeous, staff were friendly and the room service was a treat. We heard no noise at all from outside, we were facing main st on first floor,. will definately be returning soon and would reccommend this hotel highly. More
