Stayed for a stag weekend. Crap hotel. No hot water at all & manager/owner said "what do you expect me to do about it". Enough said. Saw the kitchen too, & that made us avoid eating here. Nightmare. They don't expect repeat custom so don't expect good service.

Bad smells, dirty rooms, never cleaned, bed bugs everywhere. Avoid it like the plague.

I felt obliged to write this since the older reviews on here don't do the place justice. I think it has been taken over by new management, but is a great place now for a cheap, great fun stay in a perfect location for seeing the bars, restaurants, clubs, etc and rest of Newcastle. 12 of us stayed here for a stag weekend. We had 3 rooms which were comfortable, there was tea and coffee facilities, the shower was fine. Breakfast was a small fry up but did the trick. Wouldn't take the girlfriend here for her birthday but as far as a stag weekend is concerned it was perfect! Top location, right next to some great pubs, friendly staff and rooms were fine for what we needed. Would recommend to any future stag parties!!

Stayed here for a weekend in April and it was just awful!! There was an old, fusty smell, everything was really old and it was very noisy.
