We booked the hotel on line, direct with the hotel, we were taken with the description on the hotel website and we were not disappointed. Situated at the lower end of Grey Street which must be one of the best architectural streets in any city, the hotel is a good central location, within a short walk you can be at... More

All staff we came across were very pleasant and easy to deal with. The hotel is very central for shopping and going out. The rooms were perfect for what we were looking for although one of the rooms was small. Would defiantly stay here again. We stayed for two nights on a room basis plenty of places to eat are... More

we stayed this weekend at the grey street hotel for two nights. Upon arrival, the receptionist, a young lad, was very friendly and approachable. The room was bigger than expected as from previous comments we assumed it would be smaller. However, i agree it was not boutique as it sells itself to be It was very clean and had a... More

A 5-10 minute walk from the train station, a 5-10 minute walk to the bridges, a 5-10 minute walk to the castle, the big churches, the main shopping areas, and of course, the bars; yet so quite, we could almost hear a pin drop. Hotel staff was pleasant, toiletries and complementary tea and coffee were nice. 2 downsides: no wifi... More

Rooms were clean and warm. Could do with a fresh coat of paint on the walls and the shower is very tiny, the bathroom door handle was broken and would just come off and the curtains didn't fit the window, therefore a huge flood light shone into the room at about 1am. Great location. Couldn't have picked better. For food,... More

I paid for this hotel through an online discount scheme. We stayed for 1 night in a deluxe room with a bottle of prosecco. The cost was supposed to be £215 but I only paid £69 with a £40 supplement for staying on a Saturday night. I would have felt cheated if I'd paid the full amount! The hotel doesn't... More

From checking in to departure the hotel staff were first rate - particularly the lady at breakfast! Spacious room and we heard absolutely no noise at all - and we were at the front of the hotel - the room had triple glazing. Huge bed and very comfortable nights sleep! Highly recommend as location is central and it is great... More

The Hotel in the main was fine. Its got a feeling of a business conference centre reception and the rooms continue this simple, clean theme. Boutique is a term comonly overused and this is modern and tidy, not boutique. Ah there was one scatter cushion on the bed. The bathroom was nicelty appointed but there was lots of paint coming... This hotel has the potential of being a fabulous boutique hotel. Hotel rooms are well decorated and have all you need for a great stay.......... but don't stay in warm weather and exprect the rooms to be air conditioned. We moved rooms twice before we could find one cool enough to sleep in without the need of a plug in... More

One of the best hotels I've stayed in the UK This can be found for around £60 via Lastminute.com, and boasts a great location in Newcastle City Centre, I've stayed here twice, and everything about this place is great - the staff are friendly, the hotel is spotless, and the rooms themselves are great. The beds in particular are great,... More
