Whilst attending a Trade Show at the NEC I stayed for 5 nights at The Grimstock Country House Hotel. The welcome was very friendly and the room and bathroom were a good size and in good but dated decoration. A very relaxed atmosphere and much preferable to the larger Hotels especially after a tiring show. The location is perfect for... More

We had our wedding here. They are fantastic. The day went exactly to plan. Hilary was really helpful in getting everything as we wanted it. The catering was superb. We were able to have a cut down a large cartographic gave our guests a choice. Everything was piping hot and beautifully served. The staff couldn't have done more for us.... More

Credit white credit is due. Staff very friendly & really make the difference. Food could not be faulted. Rooms very clean & comfortable, bathroom a little dated but given the rest of the experience very easy forgiven. Ideal location for NEC. Will definitely return. Geoff G

I booked this hotel because of location and gym. Have to say gym was not great, no cross trainer, but on a positive it is under used so you can switch the big tv to what you want and turn up the volume. Rooms were comfortable and staff very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast finished at 9, i turned up at... More

The Grimstock is my choice to stay when in the area because it has a homey, bed and breakfast type feel with a very friendly staff and all the basics one needs (good food, pub, and hot breakfast). Rates are reasonable, but the hotel room decor needs updating-looks like from the 1950's. The restaurant actually has some of the best... More

I stay in this area quite a lot and I am happy to find a nice hotel. Had a couple of business nights here recently and had no complaints at all. The staff were very nice and friendly. The young guy behind the bar and the young girl at reception in particular couldn't do enough. I only eat one night... More

The Hotel makes a nice change from the chain hotels in and around the NEC, in particular when those establishments are charging disproportionate prices and when one considers that facilities such as Wi-Fi (not to mention parking!) are inclusive of your stay. The set evening meal provides good value for money at circa £20 and the service is excellent. The... More

Stayed for one night in a suite. It was a very large room but very cluttered with antique furniture. I lost count how many times I banged my leg on the ornate bed. If you like very old fashioned furniture you will like it. We did have 2 televisions one in the lounge area but could not watch it there... More

Stayed here as a last minute booking and didn't really know what to expect. Reviews were varied. We arrived and were greeted by a cheery receptionist and checked in quickly. Our room was spotless with a large kingsize bed and pink ensuite! We booked for the evening meal which was 5 courses and absolutely superb - we really couldn't fault... More
