Lovely setting for our managers retreat conference. With beautiful grounds within easy reach of the city centre. Food was plentiful and tasty and the rooms were clean, tidy and proved all I needed. All the staff were friendly, helpful and willing to go out of their way to meet your needs.

A second private visit to the very pleasant, well-appointed and welcoming Woodbrooke centre. Easy to reach by public transport, and well situated for exploring Bourneville Village, the University's Selly Oak campus and city art galleries.

Lovely house and setting in what is a "City" environment. Stayed here as a result of a business trip. Great not to be staying in the usual stereotype hotel. Great value for money and very good breakfasts. Staff very friendly.

Brilliant value for money. Amazing house with lovely grounds to wander around in and probably one of the best meals I have had. The only downside was that post 10pm you are not supposed to flush the loo in the part of the building I was in due to macerators. It wouldn't have been such a problem but people obviously... More

Woodbrooke is the most delightful place to stay. The surroundings are so beautiful and peaceful, and yet the bus to the city centre leaves from just across the road! I cannot fault the staff, the food or the facilities here, and the eco-credentials are excellent.

Great value for money in a peaceful atmosphere, and a wonderful library. I was attending a conference, with hubby as an 'add on'. He joined us for breakfast and evening meal, after an easy bus ride from the stop outside into town for museums and galleries. The nearby model factory village Bourneville will be visited next trip, when the snow... More

I stay at Woodbrooke regularly on trips to Birmingham and it's always great value for money, wonderful food and caring, helpful staff. There are interesting people to meet and chat with, (if you wish)-and it's a genuinely pleasant addition to the trip. Taken time to sit in the gardens, the walled yvegetable garden is wonderful.

I attended a Quaker conference and felt very "at home." The bedroom was comfortable and I could control the temperature of the room. The meals are excellent, providing plenty of choice, especially salads and puddings and the chefs use locally sourced produce where possible. I found time to walk around the gardens and lake and if you enjoy birdwatching, I... More

What an oasis! This is a lovely place to stay - the resident friend greets all with a smile. The rooms are cosy & I had a room in Holland House with beautiful view of the gardens. The Quaker ethos shines through, making this a relaxed & quiet place to stay,
