After reading some of the reviews I was rather apprehensive when I found that a colleague had booked us into this hotel ( a group of us were attending a conference nearby). However despite the first impression - stark and bit dated, it was fine!! Check in was friendly and very efficient . The rooms very clean, bed comfy. Breakfast... More

Cheap, yes. Good, no. Noise from the lift winding machinery, noise from the road that the double glazing and the crookedly fitted door could not keep out. Noise from the "working girls" shouting down in the hotels yard, who seemed to ply their trade with impunity from the hotel staff. Plus the noise from them and their clients in adjoining... More

possibly the dirtiest hotel room we have ever had. we were in b'ham for a fair, needed a last minute, cheap hotel and this one was available. the staff were quite friendly but the room was absolutely disgusting. there were stains on the sheets, on the bed, on the covers, indistinguishable spots and stains on the door and walls, dirt... Read others reviews however everyones expections are different and our stay was lovely. The room was comfortable and quiet. The staff were pleasant, helpful and a credit to the hotel. The hotel is about 15 minutes walk from the heart of Birminham which had so much to offer everyone of all ages. There is also buses outside for those who... More

We needed somewhere to stay near to a specific location. We were a little worried as we arrived - as many visitors point out, it's not much to look at. The reception staff were excellent and we checked in quickly. The security was good with cards needed to access the lift and communal areas. The room itself was dated but... More

Recently did a tour around mid England and Wales, this was the first place we stayed in having arrived into Birmingham, everything was pleasant, we paid a very good price, very clean and spacious. I would reccomend this place to a friend if they were to ever visit Birmingham!

Arrived at the hotel was a young lady who was rude at reception. Went into the room which wasn't the cleanest room I have been too. However I did not spent at lot at £50 so didn't moan. After an hour I found the tv did not work .... Back to reception who reluctantly moved us to a room with... More

We Had a 2 night weekend stay at The Apollo at very good price. We were surprised to find that we were in 'Block F' which we had taken to be flats, and which was situated across from the main reception and dining area in a separate building, motel style. The room was very spacious and clean although a little... More

Great stay. No complaints. £49 per night. Free parking and wi-fi. Quiet, no noise from street. Good bed. Water pressure could be better. Hot water is hot! Good value. This review is to be 200 characters, difficult if you have no complaints!
