Touring in a budget I look for decent hotels with value for money rooms and pleasant staff or proprietor. This fell right into that category. Good rooms, good car parking, helpful owner, good beds. I don't ask for more. more

We have stayed at the Oak Villa Hotel on three occasions and each time we have noticed small improvements. We would not consider staying anywhere else at the prices. The breakfasts are good, rooms clean and the owner and staff are hard working and friendly. Even WiFi is now available. What more could you want at the price? more

We chose the Oak Villa Hotel on the basis of Trip Advisor reviews. This was a clean and relatively quiet hotel. Our room was spacey and everything worked. The bed was small but very comfortable. £3 a night more than St Michael's Towers up the road but 10 times better. Large old house in own grounds and decent car park. Service is very friendly, rooms comfortable and clean. Breakfast is good. Decor is nice. more
