Location good but the first room we were given was freezing - it transpired the plumbing had failed recently and been repaired. They obviously didn't think to check before putting guests in the room. Lots of history behind this hotel. Thats the best part besides the friendly staff. Other than that I can't say much for it. The shower in the bathroom leaked the entire time we were there. Wasn't the cleanest and not for the light hearted. I think it is changing owners and hopefully they will make the necessary improvements. Good location.... More

We chose the Kings Arms for location and historic charm. To be fair, the location (just outside the St. Ann's entrance to the Cathedral close) is very convenient, and the building (the main building) is clearly historic. The building is 400 years old, and it is charming looking. The rickety old stairs and sloping floors are fun but apart from that the place has little to recommend it.
