I picked this hotel from the many reviews I read. But my experience was anything but pleasant. I did expect a 'no frills' and that's what I got. But... I did not expect to go up some winding staircases. No lift. And there was a protruding beam right near my room and yep, I did trip over it one time.... More

Hotel and Room are very nice(simply but match with paid price), however the bedrooms that face the avenue are terrible due to the noise of the night clubs that are really in front of the hotel, nevertheless the people getting in and leaving of the night clubs. A simple double glazed window should solve the problem.

We booked this last minute and got a very good rate. The rooms are small, but well equipped with tea and coffee making facilities. Biscuits, apples and bottles of water were also left which we thought was a nice gesture. Do ask for a room at the back and on the top floor though. Ours was at the front so... More

Stayed for three nights over Easter. This is an old building recently remodelled. Beware of beams and odd bits sticking out. No lift, steep stairs, probably not suitable for the less mobile. Rooms are small but clean and very well appointed. Free wifi. No restaurant but city centre 5 minutes walk with plenty of choices - Weatherspoon's (The King's Head... More

Five minutes to all the main attractions in Salisbury. Spotlessly clean and comfortable, with friendly, helpful staff. No restaurant on site, but plenty of good options for breakfast and dinner close by. No frills but good value for money.

We'd definitely advise rooms at the back, the front gets noisy late at night. We had a small courtyard room, certainly delivered on our needs. Particularly good hot power shower. All just 2/3 minutes walk from the centre.

The highlight of our England tour this year was to see the mysterious Stonehenge. We had booked an “private inner circle” tour inside the monument, early early in the morning. Thus, rather than to rush there from London, we had decided to spend the night in the nearby town of Salisbury. City Lodge, looked “decent” on the Internet and very... More

Thank you for your review, whilst I understand your frustration in being unable to access your room. It is a standard policy in hotels world wide to have a window between check out and check in, so all rooms can be methodically cleaned and ready for check ins at 3.00pm. These times are listed on our booking policy. We also... More

If it is just a room that you need without the frills of Breakfast and Dinner this City Centre location is first class value for money. The allocated room was small, and whilst not totally suitable for spending downtime in was perfectly clean. The En Suite was a good size with a very efficient Shower in addition to a Bath... More

Very good considering the price. The room was small, but clean and comfortable, and had a good night's sleep despite being opposite at least 2 nightclubs. It's a shame that they don't provide any food, but at least they provided a decent amount of milk to have with tea and coffee. It's in a great location for shopping and sightseeing and... More
