We stayed for one night on Sunday 6th May 2012 as an overnight stop before leaving on the "fast" ferry to Ireland the next day. We had been finding it difficult for a place to take us as it was a bank holiday weekend and most places wanted a 2 night minimum stay. How lucky we were to find such... More

Sorry to have taken so long to post a review, but my husband and I have spent all winter just talking about the afternoon tea we had here last year. I am a qualified chef and just thought the scones were to die for along with the fantastic views. There are lots of other more commercial places for afternoon tea... More

After a long drive from London and an early start on the ferry the next morning all we really wanted was a comfortable room. We got so much more. Lovely service and tips on local takeaways and restaurants. This is a family business and it's clear that a lot of love and hard work has gone into making this work.... More

Stayed at Blackthorn farm again for our first wedding anniversary. The team made our stay really special with a bottle of wine, chocolates and flowers in our room on arrival. We love the Ddraenan room as it has a bathroom en-suite and being at the top of the house has stunning views over the coastline and the distant mountains. I... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
Blackthorn Farm is a family run Bed & Breakfast and campsite. Set in 18 acres of outstanding beauty, Blackthorn Farm has stunning views for everyone, whether you are camping or staying as guests in one of our seven (soon to be eight) Bed and Breakfast rooms. If you prefer to stay in self catering accommodation, we have a number of options available to you, both on site and in the Trearddur Bay area. We are within walking distance of one of the two Blue Flag beaches Trearddur Bay has to offer, and there are a multitude of coves, rock pools and smaller beaches all along the coastal road that leads in to Trearddur Bay, which is less than two and a half miles long. We are no more than ten minutes away from several popular restaurants and pubs while maintaining the quietness one would expect from a much more rural location. The area itself is popular with people with all sorts of hobbies, from water sports to horse riding to bird watching and has lots of wonderful, well mapped walks to explore. ... more   less
