Really good service staff attentive welcoming and friendly. Lovely comfy sofa's to chill, have a coffee or something a bit more special. Plenty of reading material to keep your partner happy while you check out the cocktails. Food excellent, very trendy, and keeping with goods Scottish cuisine. Looking forward to going back with some friends for the cocktail high tea. More

I had my 21st birthday party at the Carmelite and it was fantastic (although probably what would be expected for the price).. the function room and 'library' are really well decorated. The rooms, the restaurant and bar also look great. With regards to my 21st - the service etc was fine. I later visited for lunch with my family -... More

Great idea, but poorly executed. Service extremly slow, although staff were pleasant. Not enough teapots to allow guests to finish their cocktails at their own pace and my coffee was luke warm before milk had even been added. I was even asked if I was finished with my cup when there was still coffee in it so unsure if there... More

Attended a wedding here and stayed overnight. Our room had not yet been refurbished, however it was an acceptable standard nevertheless. It was a bit disconcerting having scaffolding outside the room but as we stayed on 30 December no work was currently in progress. The bedroom was a decent size with a huge and very comfortable bed, ample storage space... More

Stayed here for an event in aberdeen parking is a nightmare on street only staff are relatively friendly but not too helpful room faced the street and was very noisy over the weekend. Breakfast was well attended but the food was bland and basic, the breakfast menu was over complicated and trying to be more than it should. Not worth... More

I was in Aberdeen for business. I was thinking of Jurys Inn in Aberdeen, then i shifted to Carmelite, because it was cheaper and i was not losing in terms of location. Carmelite is very close to bus station which can take you directly to Aberdeen's airport. It is walking distance from railway station. However, i think i will stay... More

We booked the Carmelite as we were having a night out in Aberdeen for my wifes birthday. We made the booking including breakfast and in all cost £109 which we thought was not too bad, when we arrived at hotel we were told it was going to be very noisy till 0100 - 0130am as the xmas parties were being... I love this Hotel. Sure it has its defects but they are outweighed by the friendly staff and the stylish, spacious public areas. The restaurant srves really delicious food and wine. One evening I started off with a Negroni while relaxing with some old friends who came over for dinner. I can really recommend the pork belly with black pudding.... More

We booked for our family in advance and could only get rooms on different floors, yet when we checked in the owner realised what the situation was straight away and, without being asked, offered us adjoining rooms, which were excellent. The hotel is boutique'ish with a vibrant bar and grill downstairs. Atmosphere is good, food is excellent, staff are really... More
