We stayed as part of our trip round most of Scotland.Initial impressions werent great as this is a posh pub more than a hotel.Situated in a side street it has no real views from either the bar or the rooms to the beautiful Carnoustie countryside.Rooms were not the biggest and it was a bit of a hike getting our luggage... Had a great night on our first night watching Scotland game and food was excellent, Staff were very friendly. Howver, on returning on the second evening at 7.30pm on asking for menus we were advised that they would need to check with the chef and we were then told that they were too busy. No way to encourage customers to... More

We were up in Carnoustie to play golf and looking for somewhere to go and watch Champions League football at night. So many local people recommended the 19th Hole it was amazing. And they were right,a modern well furnished bar with great screens for sport watching. The staff were so friendly,we had just walked in and ended up in the quiz at the... We only came across the pub by chance and popped in to have a drink. The premises are modern and bright and the staff appeared to be very friendly. We had already eaten elsewhere but viewed the menu and initially thought it appeared expensive for lunch. We did however see a good few dishes being served to customers and we... More

We were staying at the golf hotel and found this pub / restaurant around the corner. Great food, not pub like at all. Good value for money, really nicely presented . Staff really friendly . Need to get the bar / restaurant on trip advisor so more can find this wee gem.

Basically this is a pub with some accommodation. I had a very nice, well appointed, room and the staff were lovely. Food was good but eaten in the public bar surrounded by locals having a drink and I felt a tiny bit out of place. All in all though quite pleasant. It's not overly cheap compared with other hotels around.

Went for a pub dinner here on first night in Carnoustie instead of going for a boring meal at the golf course hotel where we were staying. Friendly place and decent food with big portions. Was told live bands play there but there wasn't any entertainmnet the night I was there so I can't comment on the standard of that.... More

Really high standard of accomodation in this little diamond of a hotel, the staff are excellent and so helpful and friendly. the rooms are finished to a high standard and spotlessly clean.Food is top notch and great menu choice. Overall excellent value for money would highly recommend. Just remember though the rooms are above a pub if you are easily... More
