Stayed at the hotel for a long weekend in Feb 2012. Our room was roomy, comfortable and very well serviced every day. The bed was very comfy. The breakfasts were the best we have ever had in hotels over the last ten years. Everything cooked just right. The meal we had on the Friday evening was very good. We also... More

I visited The Dryburgh Abbey Hotel this January on my own as a brief post-exam holiday. The location was beautiful and quiet, perfect if you're looking for a bit of peace especially if you like walks in the woods and along rivers. Usually it would be way out of my price range but they do some nice deals in the... More

Some friends and I spent a night at this lovely hotel, during December for the party night. What a wonderful time we all had. From the moment of arrival to our departure. We were greeted in a friendly and professional manner at reception and quickly advised what rooms we were in. My Room was a double en-suite and was bigger... More

Tranquil setting, lovely rooms and attentive, helpful staff. We had a superior double room with double aspect bay windows and an enormous, king-sized bed. The rooms were nicely heated (not too hot). There's a "fine dining" room but this was at New Year and after days of Christmas functions, we wanted something less formal so we ate in the bistro... More

A superb imposing house in the most exquisite location right on the banks of the iconic River Tweed and in the grounds of the historic Dryburgh Abbey. You'd think they'd milk it. You'd think the quality inside would begin to approach the remarkable location. You'd think that a house of such history and quality would ooze inherent standards of service... More

I am terribly sorry but I genuinely doubt the authenticity of this review. You claim to have stayed in January yet your comments are completely unreflective of the Hotel itself and the excellent feedback we have received from all of our guests over the Christmas and New Year period. Our greatest asset is our staff and your deragotary comments are... More

My wife and I are just back from this wonderful hotel where we spent 2 nights over the hogmanay period. We had a fantastic time and that was very much to do with the wonderful staff. They were very attentive and nothing was any bother to them even though they were under enormous pressure to provide all the guests with... More

Dear Reviewer, Thank you for your kind comments. This year was undoubtedly one of our geatest Hogmanay events and as always all of our staff were committed to ensuring your stay (particularly at this time of year) was a special one. Thank you again. Mark More

After booking our 1 night stay I made the mistake of coming on here and then reading reviews! Although there are some very good reviews there was some very negative reviews as well which I found disturbing. However I decided to keep the booking open and my Wife and I stayed there on the 27th December. I made the initial... More

Very quiet and restful with wonderful views of the river and ruined abbey. the evening meal in the restaurant was excellent as was the service. The afternoon high tea was also lovely, but only order one between two... More

Good all round stay, although quiet at the time of my stay it was impressive - would be great mid Summer as the grounds back on to the river. One thing that could be suggested to the Hotel is that it maybe nice to have some background music in the Bistro whilst eating. Good value for money....Will use next time... More

This hidden away treasure is situated beside Dryburgh Abbey and close to the River Tweed. Whilst the room is only adequate. The staff were excellent, the food was good and was all very homely. Autumn colours were a treat and I am sure it will be a delight in other seasons. More
