I was pleasantly suprised to be offered an upgrade when i arrived and was equally pleased to be allowed to stay another hour after the official check out time which assited me in my onward travel plans. My sister and I stayed at the Rondo for one night whilst cycling from Land's End to John O'Groats. We were made to feel most welcome. Although we had booked a twin room we were moved into a larger family room as it was vacant - which was very comfortable. The breakfast was fantastic and set us up nicely for... More

Only stayed one night but left feeling like I'd known the owner for years. He went out of his way to accommodate our early start and served a manificently hearty breakfast. Great central location as well. As Sylvester Stalone said..."I'll be back!".

During my brief stay in Dunfries I found all at the Rondo to be friendly, welcoming and most of all keen to accomodate my requirements. Very friendly and welcoming atmosphere. They were always up for a conversation which is nice when your a solo traveller. The rooms were also very nice and cosy, the bathrooms were very clean and the breakfast was very good, everything you could want all for a very reasonable price!

I have stayed in the Rondo for a few nights every week for the past 12 weeks while in Dumfries working. It's in an excellent location - close to the town centre & bus/rail stations. I've stayed in a few of the rooms - very spacious, comfortable and clean with en suite, TV and tea/coffee making facilities. There's also a lovely... More

The deal at the Rondo is quite simple; Colin and his wife are friendly staff and give you clean, efficient, value for money. No worries. You will begin to feel the cares of the outside world melt away in Galloway, an area of outstanding natural beauty. Five minutes walk from the railway station and near the centre of old Dumfries...
