Absolutely first class value for money; I always begin with the negatives: Sorry, there is none - ho, no view, but then it was in the middle of Dumfries, at the rear, and I wasn't there for the view. Now the posatives: room - clean, fresh, bright, tea tray, hair dryer, toiletries, double shower, good heating, TV. breakfast included -... More

We have just returned from a 2-night stay at Glenlossie and can highly recommend it. We got a warm welcome and were shown to a family room, although there were only two of us. It was very comfortable - particularly the memory foam mattress (must get one now!). All the facilities were as described on the website. The breakfasts were... More

..............so we decided to visit friends in Dumfries. Ok, but the trip is over 2 hours from home and with the distinct possibility of a glass of wine with dinner, a B&B was needed. We booked into the Glenlossie for one night mid April. Graeme, the owner is a really nice guy who shares my hobby of cars and we... More

Myself and my daughter stayed for 1 night while visiting the university. Glenlossie is very clean. The room was large with a big bathroom. The beds were very comfortable. The room had a good lcd tv, tea and coffee supplied with a selection of biscuits and a fridge. Breakfast was very good with a selection of cereals, fruit juices and... More

Stayed for one night to attend a Deacon Blue concert lovely warm welcome could not find fault with anything. The room was well equipped and very clean. The breakfast was superb and there was plenty of choice. Would use again if staying in Dumfries.

Stayed for one night, spotlessly clean and comfortable room and well equiped with TV, fridge, & tea/coffee facilities. Great variety at breakfast. Only two negatives, rooms at the front of the house are quite noisy during the night and the pillows are extremely hard which unfortunately kept me awake for most of the night, it would be helpful to have... Stayed here for one night whilst travelling up into Scotland and same on the return journey. Could not fault it in any way. It was very clean and the welcome was warm. I have stayed in 4 star hotels that were no better than this. The fridge was a fantastic touch. There was a plentiful supply of hot drinks and... More
