Apologies for this late entry posting. This is a really special place and enhanced more so by the welcoming hosts. We enjoyed our stay greatly. The room overlooking the gardens and river view and was extremely clean and comfortable. The breakfasts were the best I have ever had (as previous posts report, the fruit salad is excellent) and on the... More

Lovely old house on the outskirts of kirkcudbright converted into a high standard B&B. Rooms reasonable size, big moden bathrooms with seperate showers and massive baths. Breakfasts really tasty with locally produced fish, sausages, bacon, black pudding and haggis. Will definitely be back next time in Dumfires. More

This is an excellent guest house all round. We stayed for 14 nights on holiday and enjoyed the wonderful hospitality of Christine and Steve. Our room (6) was spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The breakfast was all you could need and the evening meals were delicious. The guest house, in large grounds overlooking the river, enjoys a very peaceful setting,... More

We stayed for three nights in the Fludha Suite, Room 4. Both rooms (bathroom + bedroom) were extremely spacious, spotlessly clean, and decorated to a high standard. The bathroom had a bath and separate and large power shower. The luxury features were plenty with some simple homely, but pleasing, touches of e.g crystal glasses, Radox bath foam, complementary wi-fi in... More

My husband and I, together with my mother and a close family friend spent 5 days in early June. Wow what a wonderful place to stay. I can only reiterate what everyone else here says. We had a nice welcome. We had the Fludha suite which, although it doesn't really have a view is a fabulous room with a truly... More

we read very positive reviews about this lovely accommodation and can only add to the numerous accolades, the house has been lovingly restored by its current owners to a very high standard, absolutely spotlessly clean, fresh looking and fresh smelling - even the wardrobe had a lovely fresh smell. Our only regret was that we couldnt spare the time to... More

This is a fabulous guest house with everything you could ask for. The owners and staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough to help. The rooms were lovely with huge bathrooms and immaculately clean. The breakfast had a great choice and even offered freshly baked croissants, a little treat. I would highly recommend Fludha guest house as it really... More

Fludha guest house is a credit to the owners Christine and Steve who have created a haven of tranquility in Kircudbright. The only downside for us was that we could only manage a one night stay as we could quite happily have stayed for much longer.Whilst at Fludha we had the pleasure of enjoying a fabulous evening meal in the dining... Steve and Christine have a lovely guest house - better than many higher-priced hotels that we've stayed in - and they welcome their guests as long-lost members of the family. Our room was large and comfortable with a bathroom you could have a ball in. Excellent in every way - we have no hesitation in recommending Fludha. Sue and Keith... More
