While the hotel was not too expensive the room was very small, in fact it was difficult to get out of bed without striking one's head on the ceiling. On Sunday there was no lounge for residents as it was closed - not very good for spending a weekend. When enquiring about a lounge I was treated with indifference. The... more

We travelled up by train, found the hotel easily and was within a 5-10 min walk. The hotel is 2 mins from the main shopping centre, so very convenient. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was also very good, would recommend. more

My friends and I (seniors) went on a shopping trip to Dundee. We had a hard time finding a suitable place to have an early evening meal. I did some research on the net and located this restaurant called Nosey Parkers which is part of the hotel. Although we were told they didn't start serving until 5.30pm they pulled out... more

Found the hotel after going round in circles for a while. It was clean and independent so the staff were better trained and friendlier than in other hotels we stayed in. The WIFI connection was not as good as it should be, no signal in our room and it kept dropping when in the bar. The breakfast was good and... more

We stayed there for a weekend conference (my wife accompanied me) and it was so-so. The primary benefit is its proximity to the university campus. We had a second floor room that looked out on the street. Unfortunately, this meant that we had to deal with awful street noise all night, including noisy and drunken students that woke us up... more

Situation in the heart of Dundee on the Nethergate. There is close access to the shops, Dundee Contemporary Arts, bars and the University. You will find the rooms reasonably priced (£70 double), clean and staff friendly. There is free parking and wifi access. Although the decor the decor has remained in the 1970's I would recommend a stay here if... more

A home holiday with a day trip to Inverness. The hotel made the trip. The inhouse restaurant called Nosey Parker's made the hotel visit unforgetable. more

We have stayed here 4 times over 3 years and have found it excellent. Very good rates if booked in advance on no cancellation basis. The rooms vary. This time we had a big bright room and bathroom overlooking the water but they have never been less than comfortable, clean, abd adequate. The position is excellent, right next to the... more

Great hotel - really central in a nice part of town. No need for taxi after our night out - we could just walk back to the hotel. Excellent room on the third floor. Comfy bed, great night's sleep. Car park is really handy. Good value for money. Couldn't fault it. more

This was a very short notice booking for a twin room for Friday and Saturday night for myself and my 9-year-old son. Our 2nd floor room was fine, clean and equipped with a small flat screen TV. Bathroom was more than adequate. Front desk staff were very nice. It would appear that our room was directly above a function suite... more
