We stayed at Atholl Brae apartment in late February 2010 and enjoyed our time there. We stayed here with 5 people over the Hogmanay and where pleasantly surprised with the place. It was large, with a nice well equipped kitchen and a lovely lounge. The showers where awesome! Slightly disappointing. Sheets on the beds had obviously been taken straight out of the tumble dryer and put on the beds they were very crumpled and had definitely not seen an iron. Egyptian cotton sheets need to be ironed! We had to remove kitchen equipment from the dishwasher that was green with mould. Granted we arrived slightly earlier than expected... more

The apartment is in a large but quiet development about 25 minutes walk from Edinburgh's centre and 15 minutes from Leith. It is of a high standard, and the owners are attentive and helpful. more
After much browsing we ended up considering the option of staying at the Atholl Brae The Harland. And I must say me and my family felt absolutely at home. We stayed at the Harland Apartments for my stag do with 5 other lads. I'd spoken to the owner at length about us staying there and she did everything possible for us including ensuring that we all had a separate bed. Blokes don't really like sleeping in the same bed! Thanks a lot for that review, We try very hard to help and advise and make the most of our guests' time in our vibrant city. Sorry, I should have mentioned the iron and where it was!
