This hostel is clean and big, almost like a maze. It can be hard to meet people as it is big and no organised activities, but I think if you stay longer than 1 or 2 days it is great, like a home. The kitchen is large with an oven, there is a bean bag cinema, large bar area for... More

This is a really fun hostel to stay at. They have a bar which is pretty big and you can meet some cool people. The room was really big, there were about 50 bunk beds, which was a little weird, but they give you a locker. The only downside is that you have to provide your own lock (they sell... More

This was hands-down one of the best hostels I ever stayed at. The place attracts all sorts of interesting characters, and their lively atmosphere helped make my visit to Edinburgh one to remember forever. They had a big kitchen and computers at the bar - a rare commodity in hostels these days. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Edinburgh -... More

Typical UK backpackers full of aussies and kiwis. I really enjoyed it the staff were very helpful the bar was a good place to drink at loads of computers to use the internet on , breakfast going for 6 hours made it two meals; overall everything you would want in a backpackers. Location was excellent, really easy to get to... More

Usually i'd prefer not to stay in a hostel but was travelling as part of a group and all the usual reasonably priced hotels were fully booked. I was a bit nervous that I would find this place dirty, but no so. The bed linen smelt clean and so did the towels (which you can hire for 50p). The shower... More

The location is excellent. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The bathrooms are clean and the showers are hot! The staff is friendly, and I loved the wall paintings. The staff laid out a very nice spread for breakfast! I definitely plan to stay again the next time I am in Edinburgh!!

I stayed at this place with my partner as we traveled to Edinburgh from London on a spur of the moment weekend trip. We arrived in the city after midnight and this place was the only place open accepting guests. Since we had no other place to stay we decided to give it a go. The atmosphere and location was... More

Located very close to princes street so very good location. Good atmosphere, nice bar area. Breakfast is decent too. Rooms are standard hostel rooms with lockers provided. shower rooms could be better. Little space to get changed and showers went cold and hot.

Stayed here for 3 nights and had no troubles. The decor is colourful, the location is fantastic and the staff are friendly and helpful. Try the burger place next door, you won't regret it! Would stay here again!
