Great, friendly atmosphere, central location, friendly staff who answer any questions, able to leave our bags there for free on checkout day whilst we wondered around the city. Amazing communal area with lots of games to keep you entertained, cheap drinks in the bar. Free breakfast (toast and cereal), good sized dorm rooms, clean showers. Definately the cleanest (& nicest)... More

First time in a hostel, I was very concerned about the common areas (bedrooms and bathrooms), however it was ok for few days, friendly staff, nice breakfast options, free Internet, free books, very nice ways to relax and let yourself go, well located, nice view ... It's Edinburgh, after all, a wonderful city to visit. More

The staff was very nice and chill. The rooms are carpeted with fluffy mattresses and blankets! There are big lockers to put your valuables in, along with free breakfast from 6am-12pm. The wi-fi is also free, but was kinda slow if you use it in the rooms. They even have a nice bar with cheap drinks and snacks. Overall, decently... More

I was a little nervous as this was my first time staying in a hostel room solo but the staff were very friendly and helpful on arrival, and the decor was warm and welcoming - if not a little out there! Stayed in a 6 bed female dorm which was surprisingly spacious and nicely decorated, even had a table and... More

Great atmosphere. The beanbag cinema, the murals, the cosy common area well-stacked with board games, ample breakfast, friendly staff and a very central location all contributed to a very pleasant experience. The room was a bit spartan and the bed creaky, but that was expected and acceptable for a hostel. More

This was my first hostel stay (I was foolishly staying in hotels till now!). Its well located. 15 minutes walk from the Edinburgh bus station and very close to the famous Caledonian Hotel on Queen street. While the room was little small for four people (all having lots of luggage) but the cosiness of the entire hostel is overwhelming. There... More

The hostel has a good location with good facilities, including a cinema room with a wide variety of movies pre-installed. The onsite bar had good premise of being a fantastic way of meeting like minded travellers, however another free provision; wi-fi installed throughtout, has reduced the bar to a facebook surfing location. Rooms were typical hostel style, only irritation would... More

Fun, clean hostel in the middle of lovely Edinburgh. Close walk to the old city and located basically in the middle of the new portion of the city. The 24 hour reception staff was extremely helpful and couldn't have asked for a better free hostel breakfast. The whole place is painted with a fun, bright design. Computers for free use... More
