After reading the reviews for this hotel I decided to stay there for two nights and I have to say I was a little disappointed with the accomodation. A most interesting ultra-new, swish and modern conversion to the end of an elegant Georgian Terrace, run by the Royal College of Surgeons. A most excellent location, just 15 minutes stroll or short bus ride away from Balmoral end of Princes Street, and in a vibrant area itself. Excellent value for money, too. Highly recommended. more

Had a nice weekend in 10 Hill Place. The hotel was quite so they made the breakfast freshly for each person. Staff were nice and called cabs etc. Hotel is pleasant but nothing fancy although room was nicely done out. Not at all sure about the glass doors on the bathrooms - especially as they face directly onto the toilet.... more

Not too expensive for Edinburgh. Almost in the city center (5 min walking) The place is quiet, the room was cosy and the Scottish breakfast ok. more

We stayed forHogmanay and found it great in all ways. Ten minute walk to Royal Mile so not too far in the cold. The hotel itself was very warm. All staff were vey friendly and helpful. Room was a good size and clean. Would def stop here again. more
