My husband and I recently stayed at the Dakota before travelling to Germany for a long weekend. From the moment we arrived we were welcomed by very attentive reception staff, who went out of their way to ensure that we enjoyed our stay - we were even offered a small welcome cocktail !!
The bedroom itself was very well laid...

We stayed at the Dakota as we needed a base near to the Rossyth base. The hotel was good. Food was good but expensive, breakfast was quite expensive at £12.00 for a very small mediocre cooked breakfast.
Wifi signal was good in the rooms we used, however it was a pain as you had to get a unique password per...

I stayed for one night at the Dakota in Edinburgh for business a few months back and was delighted with the place. If you accept that the hotel is located right on the edge of the city then everything else is very good. Free parking is a bonus, if you have ever tried to park in Edinburgh then you will...

As a business traveller this hotel ticks all the boxes. Great sized rooms, very clean, modern with all the mod cons. Food was very nice, good selection of drinks.
Close to the airport and their shuttle service works brilliantly!
Only odd thing is the lighting in most communal areas of the hotel, I'm really tempted to wear a head torch...

I stayed at this hotel to attend a wedding nearby, it's not close to Edinburgh centre but was perfect for our needs. We had a lovely room, very comfortable, clean and tastefully decorated as was the bathroom, which was in fact a wet room, I'm not keen on these but it was very well equipped. We ate in the restaurant...

The staff are teriffic. The hotel is beautiful both inside and out and has a great choice of food. Cant wait til our next...

We don't live very far away for the Dakota and have driven past it many times, I'd always been fascinated with what was inside the big black box! I got to find out when my husband and I spent a night in one of their suites and we werent disappointed.
The staff on reception and in the grill couldn't have...

I often stay at the Dakota for work purposes and admit that when I first saw the big black glass box in the middle of two rainy windswept motorways I was not impressed. But as soon as you walk through the curtained doorway into the cosy and fantastically designed lobby I changed my mind.
Reception are friendly, helpful and efficient...
