Lovely hotel! We got a good DBB package and would imagine we were given one of their cheapest rooms. Our room was fabulous! Spacious, immaculate, very comfortable and modern. Lovely tea/ coffee tray and all facilities you would expect. Even a turn down service at night. The lounge areas are restful and the dining experience fabulous. The hotel is set... More

We took advantage of a special 'dinner, B&B' offer at this lovely hotel just outside St Andrews. Recently refurbished (with an eye-wateringly jazzy carpet in the public areas!) it looks and feels classy. Our room (no 30) was up a private staircase and looked over the front of the hotel. It was very spacious, nicely furnished, comfortable, with an enormous... More

We only spent one night here but would like to stay longer the next time. The staff were great - very attentive and professional throughout. I loved the dinner and breakfast. We had a room with a balcony looking over the gardens - what a treat. More

I know that it has been bitterly cold, but the chance to enjoy the warm hospitality (or to sit by one of the three fire-places) is always welcome. The room with the balcony is a favourite of many of our guests, and whilst it costs a bit more than our Classic Rooms, does appear to be worth it. In fact,... More

So pleased to hear that you had such a good time - and if only I had someone to put a hot water bottle in my bed each night it would be good! We do look to provide a warm relaxing experience - for all our guests, regardless of age. The chocolate brownie is a favourite of many, and we... More

My partner and I have just spent a weekend at Rufflets and enjoyed every minute of it. The staff were helpful, polite and very attentive, the hotel accomodation was immaculate and very tasefully done and the fine dining was exquisite. All in all a perfect weekend. More

Delighted to read that you had a perfect weekend with us, and that everything that you encountered exceeded expectations. We do know that we have a wonderful hotel (even better now that we have finished the refurb of the front hall and reception area) - but it is very much our staff who make the difference, and I do feel... We have stayed here several times since our last review and each time is as good or better than the last. Whether in the summer or at Hogmanay the service is attentive. One of our party has dietary restrictions and the maitre d' personally makes discreet recommendations about what is safe and what could be amended on the menu in... More

Thank you for the kind comments. Perhaps the key thing that is most pleasing to read is that the effort that we put in to finding out the little things that are so important to our guests is so well received. When it comes to dietary requirements, the discreet manner in which we handle them is essential, and I am... More

We stayed at the hotel just before Christmas as we had purchased an internet voucher where we paid 50% of the full price for dinner bed and breakfast. There was supposed to be a function on at the hotel that night which we were told had been cancelled. So the hotel was pretty quiet which we were happy about. It's... More

It was really good to be able to read such kind and positive comments about the hotel. We do always work hard to deliver the high levels of comfort, service and food quality which you have clearly enjoyed - and so thank you for the feedback. With regards the negatives comments, we are in the final stages of refurbishment work... More

We stayed one night in the Turret room in the Rufflets hotel in December 2011. The room was lovely and well-equipped with WIFI, a whirlpool bath and homemade shortbread! We enjoyed a beautiful meal in the restaurant with great service, coffee in the drawing room beside a roaring fire, then a cosy night in comfortable bed (and our very own... More

It should perhaps go without saying that all the different things that we do in the hotel are aimed at providing the experience that you have clearly enjoyed - things that we look to do for all our guests. It is so nice to read that the little touches are all appreciated (and the hottie is always warmly received). Good... More

Thank you so much for giving this feedback - I am delighted to hear that you had such a good time at the hotel - albeit a short one. The chef does work hard to produce excellent menus in the Terrace Restaurant - and the service team love to read when they have done so well. Even in winter, the... More
