Just stayed here for two nights on buisness. I had to change my room 3 times, the first one smelt of sick (later told it was freshly painted that day and that was the smell) second on 457 the floor vibrated from a huge generator next door and the third I stayed in the lights were faulty and I had... more

Recently stayed at Malmaison during Valentines weekend. Booked fairly last minute, so missed out on some good rates through the hotels website (price leaped from £150 to £210 for B&B in a couple of days), but managed to reserve a room at a fairly good rate through Booking.com. On arrival at the hotel, the reception staff were very friendly and... more

I can only really say what I think and that it was simply average in terms of the feel to the place, however the staff were pretty friendly and they were more than happy to converse with you and do what they could to make you comfortable. I would go back and I felt that the £149 for DBB was... more

We stayed here for two nights thinking we'd splurge a bit since prices were lower in winter. Have to say, I wasn't very impressed. The Mal seems to have invested a great deal in style but not much else. The bed was quite hard, and they nickel and dime you for any amenities. Internet should be wireless and free for... more

Stayed here for a night after getting a deal online for DBB, it was not as good as I expected. Reading the previous reviews I have to agree about the sqeeky floorboards, it was frustrating. The rooms were nice but I was disappointed by the fact that not only was there no complimentary items, there was not even a bottle... more

I booked this hotel for my husbands birthday, we booked the special offer - spend £75 on food and stay overnight for £25, what a bargain!. The hotel is in a very nice area of Glasgow, with lots of nice restaurants and shops nearby - try Fifi and Ally for lunch, yum! The staff at reception were lovely, I called... more

My wife and I stayed a night at the Malmaison to use up some airmiles I had, so glad we did not pay full price. The furnishings and carpets in the public areas were stained and shabby. The room was comfortable but black furniture is very 80s. Nice bathroom with fluffy big towels. But the thing that really let it down... more

I travel often for business and had two nights in Glasgow, mid-November. The rain outside was incredible but the hotel was a very nice respite from the weather. The front desk staff was efficient and courteous. My king room was clean and spacious for a single traveler. The room may have been a bit tight for two but I expect... more

Stayed one night in this unusual hotel. We arrived several hours before the offical check in. Thought we would leave our luggage and do some shopping but the staff were able to book us into our room right away, which was a nice surprise. I was a bit apprehensive about this hotel having read so many negative reviews. Our room... more

Nice chic' styled hotel, but overpriced at £129 per night (room only). Excellent city centre location. Close enough (walking distance) to the main attractions/shops, and far enough away from the night-life bustle. Room (116) was adequate although for a superior room, I was expecting more space/luxury. No air conditioning in-room, and none of the windows opened making the room very... more
