Everything about this hotel was superb; excellent food, friendly and helpful staff, comfortable room and good local real ales. Location is great, close to Glasgow airport, but in a rural setting. More

The "Uplawmoor" is a pretty decent, family run hotel, bar and restaurant . Our room was very nice and spotlessly clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. Both, breakfast and lunch in the bar were great. They use fresh and high quality products and prepare their meals very well, e.g. toast for breakfast is home made and really superb. I really... More

We stayed here with friends as we were visiting the Burrell Collection (an easy drive from the hotel). The rooms are basic but clean and comfortable. The hotel restaurant is excellent. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly and the service is of a very high standard. The evening meals we had were first class and they also do a... More

Fantastic food, courteous and attentive staff, and a friendly owner who happily spent 15 minutes with me discussing options regarding my Scottish vacation. What a wonderful place! The room was just a little dowdy, but very clean, and the bathroom was newly renovated (new shower, no tub). Generally I would expect to pay at least 50% more for this standard... More

Just arrived home after staying at Uplawmoor Hotel for the TAKE THAT Progress Tour 2011 at Hampden Park. Uplawmoor Hotel is only approx. 20 minutes away from Glasgow itself and there is a train station just 3 miles away which takes you in to Hampden Park and Glasgow. My husband and I felt very much at home and welcomed by... More

We were a mixed group of 17 cyclists doing a LEJOG charity ride. The owners and staff were very welcoming and the hotel had a very relaxed atmosphere to it. We were very pleased with the accommodation, evening meal and the breakfast. More

Such a friendly hotel with all the little touches that others miss out: a decanter of sherry for guests to help themselves; home-made jams and breads, and all the food sourced locally. A lovely couple run this place with genuine smiles. Excellent restaurant and convenient for sightseeing in Glasgow or the surrounding countryside. More
