We had a Murder Mystery dinner here. The menu was the best of the choices of venues available. The food was outstanding and fantastic value for money. The place was a good choice for the theme of the evening. Staff were so pleasant, efficient; attentive; and accommodating. I would not hesitate to go here again for a drink, meal or function,... More

We were in room 5, which has optional hot water. Ask for the boiler to be turned up and you then can have a shower, but, the radiator is then on full blast and can't be turned off. We spoke to reception who turned off the boiler, I suppose no one else was staying. The hotel has no lift, so... More

With her in doors nagging to get out for Sunday lunch,I decided to go back to Cathedral house hotel as our new year visit was great. on our arrival we discovered the avability was limited due to the fact a group on deal was running. One of the bar staff remembered us and where kind enough to fit us in... More

The driest beef and super al dente vegetables that were inedible. The cauliflower tasted like it was tainted having been next to something else. No sympathy from the staff or refund offered. Get 'em in....get the money and get 'em out! Spoiled an evening with my girlfriend. I would certainly not recommend. Their lack of compassion makes me hope this... More

Very nice rooms. Location was ok. Friendly staff. The rooms themselves where really really warm and we were not able to regulate the heater. In contrast to the rooms, the restaurant where they serve breakfast was very cold.

After a great walk around the necropolis me and my friends went into the hotel for drinks. Had a great day/ night. :) great music and great staff. Did not sample new bar menu but will next time. This is a great wee pub, especially if your looking for somewhere after a long walk. Thanks Clancy. See you soon :)

revolting food, would serve it to my dog. Service was slow and server was rude, could be due to what smelled like whisky on his breath. Restaurant was unclean and smelled stale, wine tasted watery. just DONT is all i can say

Went for Sunday lunch on a voucher deal. Bar was nice, old world style but dining area upstairs was small and a bit cramped. Service was quick and reasonably friendly but maybe a wee bit too fast. Starters were good - I had home made soup and my partner had prawn cocktail and both were good size portions and very... More

My son and daughter-in law and 3 month old grandson went there for Mothers Day Meal. On arrival we were shown to our table by a very bubbly waitress who was very helpful in getting our seating organised as my grandson was sleeping so we didn't need the high chair that was there. The table was beautifully set with good... More

the eaterie at the top of a winding staircase is badly in need of a makeover- it certainly did not resemble a restaurant ! the room had 6 tables with paper table-covers with the adjoining room more like a storeroom - the groupon voucher menu was minimal - a choice of 2 starters and 2 main courses - but regrettably...
