Hotel was basic... Bit overpriced in my opinion in hindsight. Couple of faults with room but biggest one was the flush didn't work. Reception desk staff were very helpful and courteous. Stayed for 1 night in twin room for night out in merchant city, great location, basic rooms, was all we needed! Staffed 24/7, staff couldn't be anymore helpfull even kept our luggage for a while until we done what we had, recommended stay if your out in town and looking for a friendly place to stay

Central location with easy reach of good eating paces, galleries and museums. Friendly chef at breakfast who cooks to order, choice of standard eggs and bacon etc or smoked haddock or kippers or haggis.

We do not mind facilities which are quite basic if they provide good value so the spartan bedroom would have been okay for a one night stay, even if the aged TV did not work! When I arrived I was delighted. The interesting curved staircase. My room with its stripped wood floors, tall wondows with thick curtains, crisp white clean bed linen of a good quality, fee wifi, free view tv. Roll on 10 mins of being in the room, the TV is an old style portable and the sound is on the way out.... More

For £35 what do you expect? Clean rooms, good service, half decent breakfast and friendly staff? Well that's what I got and for a one night stay it ticked all the boxes for me. I would use again as it is in a good location for nights out in Glasgow.
