We do come to Glasgow every January for the Celtic Connections Festival and choose the Express primarily for its superb location - Royal Concert Hall is just across the street and so are the shops/bus station/train station etc. Yes, it is a budget hotel but in my opinion one of the nicest ones and their staff are always extremely friendly... more

I stayed here with my mum for one night in January for her birthday. We were going to the panto at the Pavillion Theatre and decided to stay overnight and make the most of it. The hotel was 2 mins around the corner from the pavillion, the cinema and the shops. It really is in an excellent location. The hotel... more

We lived for many years in Glasgow and when we come back to visit we stay at this hotel every time; there’s not much reason to stay elsewhere. For a budget city centre hotel the location is terrific. You are 100 yards from Sauchihall Street, the impressive Buchanan Street shopping centre and all the smart shops in Buchanan Street itself.... more

I traveled to Glasgow to attend a conference at the Glasgow Caledonian University and they recommended this hotel. I was pleasantly surprised at the location in the city center right next to the bus station. It made for a very easy commute from the airport and access to tours of northern Scotland. The hotel itself far exceeded my expectations. It... more

Stayed at the hotel for one night as convenience for a christmas night out in the Holiday Inn next door. Room was clean although very cold, the heater was not adequate enough for the room, no extra blankets were provided especially since the previous few nights had been below freezing with thick fog(I live in the city), to make matters... more

Reviewed this hotel earlier in the year, and was concerned about the noise. Having planned another weekend in Glasgow, we decided to try again, and this time followed the advice of the manager's reply to first review - we emailed ahead requesting a high room at the back. I suppose come people would complain on this site, yes, we were... more

This is not a new hotel and now needs updating. Having said that this hotel is in an ideal location in the city centre. The hotel is situated very close to the Glasgow Concert Hall and additionally within a couple of hundred yards of Buchanan St, Buchanan Galleries and Sauchiehall St which all boast excellent shopping facilities. A multistory car... more

Dear Reviewer, Thank you for taking the time to comment on your stay with us. I am glad the breakfast and cleanliness of the Hotel proved favourable. I am also very pleased to advise that the Hotel is just about to embark on the Holiday Inn Express re-launch programme, which amongst many things will mean all of our bedrooms are...

I stayed in this hotel in May this year. The rooms are basic and clean but not much room so I wouldn't want to spend more than a couple of nights. Breakfast was basic but as part of the room rate cannot grumble. Main point to highlight if staying in this hotel is that is really noisy. The underground and... more

Dear Reviewer, Thank you for taking the time to comment on your stay with us. I'm terribly sorry you were disturbed by the underground noise. We can at times hear the underground, as the route runs under the Hotel, the saving grace however is that the trains luckily don't run over night. I do hope you choose to stay in...
