This hotel is not great, but it does its job. The staff are very friendly. The rooms are clean (except the pillows which are rather old and smelly as a result) the water is hot, the shower works and the cost is reasonable. We did not have dinner here, but the breakfast was very comprehensive. Its well located, with easy... More

I stayed here to play at a Christmas 'do'. Lovely and warm, spacious entrance hall, bar and TV lounge with a fab big fireplace. Fantastic function room - excellent food - the carvery looked and smelled delicious! I had the stir fried veg with rice from the bar menu - supposed to be a starter but it was a meal... More

I recently stopped at the hotel at the finish of a classic car rally. We were a big party so filled the hotel. Hallways, stairs and the rooms a little run down. However everything worked in my room. Very welcoming and helpful staff. Nice bar and lounge area. We had a wonderful formal dinner with great food. The early breakfast... More

I have to go to Wick on business a few times a year and the Norseman always suits my needs. I stayed here again last week just for one night and it's always a welcoming place after a long drive from the central belt. I had called ahead believing I may arrive after 11pm but was assured by the kind... More

I agree with the majority of comments regarding the Norseman Hotel. From the outside and in the bar/restaurant area it seems run-down and old fashioned. However, the rooms are really nice/modern and the food is great. My only issue was that my shower didnt work properly but its nothing to worry about. Check-in and out was easy and staff were... More

At first glance this hotel seems to be rather tired but give it a try. Rooms were large and clean and bathroom big enough to turn around in. Water pressure was great. Then go to the dining room, not a lot of ambience but the food is wonderful. Fresh fruits from everywhere for breakfast and the typical English breakfast also.... More

Stayed 2 nights on a Highlands Tour. Room was clean and fresh. There were traditional Highlands weddings at the hotel both nights, which was kind of fun to see and met plenty of local residents. We were told that the new owners were running the hotel, but did not actually own it yet, so they were waiting to do upgrades.... More

I attended a hen day function in the hall at this hotel a couple of weeks ago. The staff made us very welcome, provided a wonderful hot buffet...the home-made lasagne was fantastic! Drinks and food reasonably priced and the Sunday Carvery is a must... if you stay here or even elsewhere when you visit, go! so scrumptious! More
