Excellent overnight accommodation in easy walking distance of the town centre. Welcoming hosts despite the fact I arrived after 9pm. The breakfast in the morning was great - possibly the best black pudding I've ever tasted! Just what I was looking for.

I booked this establishment via laterooms after checking that they offered Bed & "BREAKFAST" and also "WIFI" in your room. NO BREAKFAST - My fault I suppose for not checking that breakfast is from 8am ONLY (no good for anyone who works as most people will be gone by then) - I would of even liked a bowl of cereal... More

As well as ticking all of the basics: warm room, clean, comfortable bed, good shower, efficient service, Fred and his family at Atholdene go a little bit further. Little chocolates on the pillows, easy (and not awkward) conversations on arrival, at breakfast and on departure being just some examples. Lovely B&B, excellent location, great facilities and wonderful host. Fred provided a perfect amount of information and assistance. This b&b is only a 3 star but should be higher the facilities are top notch and very clean. Family run and very chatty. And one good thing is they don't use silly little cups and tea pots as you expect in B&B or hotels they have a mug for the use of in the rooms to make a nice... More
