Our stay at Castle Stuart was quite the splurge and we loved every moment here. Caroline was a lot of fun, very welcoming, rediculously informative, gracious and a fabulous cook as well. She is also very quirky, and we loved her sense of humour. We had the castle to ourselves and had a great time exploring the many nooks and... More

I took my children to Santaland at Castle Stuart. This is an event that the Castle puts on in December for children. The fee for entry is £5 per person. On our arrival at 11am, we were greeted by rudolph at the gate. Rudolph told us that we had to wait for the fat controller to come for us. In... More

We showed up greeted by Caroline and immediately knew this was going to be an incredible evening. We were fortunate to have the castle to ourselves and the kids truly enjoyed all of the hidden passage ways, food and christmas decor. My wife and I enjoyed the history and well appointed rooms....we found the food to be terrific as well.... More

Scotland is all about the castles and history so spending a night at Castle Stuart is a must... it was a memorable highlight for me and the small group I was traveling with. Keeping in mind the Castle was completed in 1625, the rooms are very clean and cozy with all the amenities you would find in a modern day... More

It was the recommendation of a friend that travels to Scotland often to stay a night at Castle Stuart - it was a highlight of our trip! We were glad we read the recommendation to pack an overnight bag instead of lugging our suitcase up the narrow spiral staircase. Our room was very comfortable with the fireplace glowing to welcome... Accommodations and dining experience the finest we have experienced in 50 years of traveling the world. Only one regret - we only booked a one night stay. More

Having cautiously negotiated the remotely controlled security gates, the only way was up. The guided welcome by Caroline was comprehensive, to the top with excellent all-round views. The other "up"? Be fit and healthy and take a minimalist overnight bag - forget nothing. Sadly I didn't count the spiral stairs to the honeymoon suite. Suffice to say that the likelihood... More

We lived 2 fantastic days in a charming room on the top of a tower (with a ghost...) We enjoied our fireplace in the room, after a long wet day of tour throught Scotland landscapes. If you like pets you will meet funny rabbits, ponies and... Norbert and Bacon (two friendly little pigs) the atmosphere is a perfect mix of... More

We visited Castle Stuart in the 90s with my parents, and loved it so much we returned in August 2011 with our granddaughter and son-in-law. Last time we were there, we were entertained by the birds Romeo and Juliet who kept flying into our room. This time, the castle has added Shetland ponies, ducks, angora rabbits and even two pigs!... When we pulled up to the gates of the castle, we saw an avenue of ancient linden trees focusing our gaze onto a fountain at the end of the drive. A white shetland pony was drinking from it. Magical. Matter of fact there are three shetland ponies that amble around the place. We had the top room in the east... More
