I stayed at the Abermar a couple of years ago on my solo trip through the UK. I was there for two nights and the owners, James and Allison couldn't be sweeter. As soon as I landed, she helped me plan my day and gave me the a run down of the rules (It is a non-smoking establishment and are... More

I am not used to B&B's as I usually stay in corporate hotels. I must say that I will never stay anywhere else. I was greeted warmly and as a Londoner I was astounded at the level of service I received. The little touches are the ones that I most appreciated the most. The gown on the bathroom door; clean... I am very happy to write this review for the Abermar Guesthouse in Inverness in Scotland. The owners James & Allison could not have been more welcoming, helpful and friendly. My room was fabulous, right down to the mug for tea or coffee and the flavoured biscuits. It was spacious, very comfortable, lovely and warm and the ensuite had lots... More

Having previously stayed here four years ago I knew this was the only place I need look for my return visit, I was not disappointed, everything was just perfect, better than a hotel, very friendly and homely, with very nice decor, will be back, thanks to James & Allison for a lovely stay. More

We stayed at this B&B in last September. It is a very good B&B. They have only three stars of the Scottish Tourist Board but they deserve more! The rooms are spacious and clean, even the single bedrooms are spacious. The breakfast is good, you can choose from several things. You have a good off street parking at the back... More

We really enjoyed this B&B. The hosts were great, very friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable and the room was very clean and well supplied. It is 5 min. walk over the river Ness to the main city attractions, easy to get to by car, overall an excellent experience. More

Allison and James are friendly and caring hosts. The guest house is welcoming, comfortable and clean (love the tartan carpet!). My room had all I needed in it, and was quiet so I slept well. My trip to the Orkneys started very early the next day, so after a light breakfast I went off with a packed carry bag of... More

I stayed there with my family in August for 4 nights - we had a fantastic time and would recommend the place in a heart beat. We found James and Allison to be extremely nice and they were willing to assist us with anything, even if it just involved slowing down for a chat. We had young kids with us... More

A traditional B&B in a central location just a couple of minutes walk to the town centre. Room was fine and bathroom appeared freshly decorated. Hosts were friendly and helpful. Breakfast room didn't have enough tables to service all the rooms, so there could sometimes be a wait if they're full. There's a pleasant adjacent lounge to wait in though. More
