We only stayed one night on our way to Skye, but would have loved to stay longer. Wilma was so warm and welcoming! Our room was clean and cozy, complete with everything we needed (including WiFi, TV, digital clock, tea/coffee making stuff, and homemade Scottish tablet!). The location is ideal, being only a short walk from all the shops and... More

We stayed mid July for three nights, The room was warm and very clean with nice touches like homemade biscuits and bottle of water plus the usual tea, coffee etc. The bed was fairly comfy with clean, if not top quality linen. The bathroom and shower was large with good quality toiletries, very hot water and a window. The owners... More

Carbisdale is a lovely place to stay. It's reasonably priced, clean, friendly and a bit different from the majority of places that I stayed on my trip. It's a short walk from the train station, so it's very easy to get there. I'd strongly recommend checking it out...add a little something different to your next trip!

First of all, don't trust Google to give you directions to this place. You'll never get there! Thankfully we had a phone so we were able to call for better directions. Wilma had no problem with the fact that we were running late, and both she and her sister were very warm, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. The room... More

Basic guest house which we have stayed at 5 times now. Nothing to write home about, but no real problems either. What i would call an average stay. Absolutely fine. Breakfast was nice enough but get there early for best choice in our experience. Easy walk to the train station.

From the warm welcome, comfortable and clean room, excellent breakfasts and the perfect hosts, this was a wonderful B&B. The location is perfect, easy to walk from the train station and into town for dinner & shopping. We didn't spend enough time here so we will plan a return trip and stay at the Carbisdale. Thank you Wilma & Colin... More

What more can we say, first class hosts in Wilma and Colin, with a warm welcome. Wilma served up a good Scottish breakfast. Room had all the facilites we required, best accommodation we have had. On return from Orkney we booked up again, and that tells how good the Carbisdale B & B was. Thanks for a great stay on... More

This is probably the best accommodation I have ever stayed in. The house is charming, it's clean with great facilites including free WiFi access and the proprieters are friendly. They even cater for vegans. As a vegan I was delighted to find that when I went to breakfast each morning the soya milk, soya spread and soya yogurt were out waiting... More

We picked Carbisdale due to the reviews and it's proximity to the train and bus station. It ended up being a great choice. Our hosts were very gracious and Wilma cooks an awesome full Scottish breakfast (with many choices and lighter options available as well). There is a good hill when coming to their place from the train, so if... More

The Carbisdale is a great B&B, and it's very close to the town centre so we didn't need to drive anywhere! Great breakfast and great hosts! Thank you very much, we really enjoyed ourselves!
