Birchwood is small hotel run directly by the owners who take a great pride in it. The rooms are in good repair and well decorated. The breakfast is courteously served and the food of good quality. Dinner can be preordered and is also of good quality. It is very good value.

Beautiful building just on the outskirts of town. Courteous service, high quality rooms and excellent breakfast served in the elegant dining room. Pitlochry rather touristy, nice walk to the dam but little else in town.

My wife and I have just spent four nights in this quiet hotel on the outskirts of Pitlochry. It is well appointed and modernised, withis easy walking distance of shops and theatre, and the service by the resident owners is discreet and attentive. The cuisine in particular was first class, although evening meals require ordering earlier in the day.
