The superb location of this family run hotel is well matched by the quality of the service, food and accommodation. The friendliness of the service was particularly noteworthy, no doubt helped by the favourable staff to resident ratio. Well worth a second visit. More

We visited this hotel for a week-end in February and we were very impressed by the friendly and professional standard of service. The hotel is located just outside Pitclochry with stunning views over the loch and mountains. The staff in the hotel are all trained to a very high standard and the hotel is a family run business, with a... More

Dear KingKongScotland, Many thanks for your last minute decision to join us at Pitlochry and the Green Park, and delighted to read that your weekend visit went well. We are very lucky to have the mix of staff that we do, though Diane, June Ann, and David and Julie deserve all the credit for their level of training. My dad... More

We’ve just returned from a fantastic weekend at the Green Park. But from past experience, we expected no less. Highlights A surprise welcome package in the room with a personalised birthday card. How did they know … ? Afternoon coffee and cakes (decaf and gluten free available) in the resident’s lounge overlooking the loch, surrounded by bookcases full of oversized... More

Having a short break with some friends I stayed at the Green Park Hotel for the first time in late December 2011 and as a result the weather was nothing to write home about. However, that mattered little as there was no real need, or inclination, to leave the hotel. The bedrooms, public rooms and restaurant were all very warm... More

This is a nice hotel on gorgeous grounds. It an be SO much better! Old "Feel" -- it really feels like you are in a genteel senior citizen center. Even though there is room for it, there is no gym, no spa, no pool. The "bar" is not a bar-- it is a room, with a bar in it and... More

We stayed here after a weekend on the hills. Very pleasant stay. Our room had a deep bathtub with shower, plenty of hot water for those aching bones, soft towels and a view of the river. The staff were very helpful and friendly, and the food great. Loved the open fire, predinner drinks and coffee in the conservatory. What more... More

Dear Carole C, Glad to read that your hill walking was a success, and that you enjoyed your time with us at the Green Park. Brian, a friend of mine, just recently completed the last of his Munro's, and about forty of us were at the top of a hill near Laggan to cheer him on. A good night was... More

We have recently returned from what must be our 4th or 5th stay at Green Park. Green Park never fails to delight us and our latest visit was no exception. We particularly appreciate the quality and variety of food served for dinner especially as my partner does not usually eat meat. We both felt that the standard of food equalled... More

Dear Contraria, Many thanks for posting such a generous review - and for choosing to make another reservation. Your comments about wine are very pertinent, in that Tom ( Clarkson ) from Forth Wines is popping in to the hotel this afternoon. Your first introduction to the Green Park Hotel will probably be through the website but your first experience starts as soon as you enter the main car park. The view before you is that of Loch Faskally, it is a view shared by the hotel itself and is a joy in every season. Your experience builds when you enter the... More

We can only agree with the other reports. We found this hotel whilst staying at another (4 star) hotel, and decided that next year we would come to Green Park. That was 5 years ago,and we have not regretted the decision, so we come every year for a few days. Normally five, but have decided to make it 8 in... More

The AA gives this hotel 3 stars and a rosette for good food. As the hotel is well above average, we give 5 stars. The hotel is situated at the edge of loch Faskally, a fairly short walk from the centre of the town of Pitlochry. Our first impression was of an extremely well maintained country-house-style hotel. The staff, particularly... More
