“Most hospitable.”

Made to feel welcome from the start. Upstairs front bedroom with 2 beds and en-suite. Breakfast was excellent especially the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs. Perfect location for the new Robert Burns NTS Museum.

“Brief stay at Sunnyside”

Booked very last minute and made to feel very welcome. We had the downstairs double room which suited us perfectly. The breakfast had plenty choice and set us up for the day. Have booked again already Ignore the rating for the swimming pool - theyt don't have one but I couldn't "unclick"!

We enjoyed our stay very much. The house is lovely, and the room we had was very charming and comfortable. The Malcolms were very gracious and helpful with information about the area. Great breakfast!

“Charming hostess and super family room”

First visit to Ayr... rather idyllic...beautiful weather for a morning walk on the beach, an unusual combination of seaside and old university town with stone houses. Sunnyside is really quiet, beauifully taken care of, comfortable and clean and Helen was attentive, friendly, helpful. Tea and delicious banana bread on arrival and a bounteous breakfast. “Very clean and good value for money”

Great little bed and breakfast on the outskirts of Ayr. Good recommendation of where to eat in town, very accommodating hosts. I was travelling with two spaniels and it can be difficult to find decent accommodation. This was a well run establishment. The breakfast was lovely - all local and hand reared produce.

It was lovely to meet you and we hope that you can stay with us again sometime. More

“A Great Place to Stay”

We stayed at Sunnyside for a Wedding at the nearby Brigg O Doon Hotel. This B&B was brilliant and the owners where lovely giving us a run to the wedding venue. A fresh pot of coffee was offered on arrival which was lovely and the breakfast in the morning was great!

“Nice Clean friendly Place”

Spotlessly clean and tidy. Attentive owners and great service. Helen is so sweet. Letting me lock my Motorcycle away in their Garage. Breakfast was first class. Only down side was my room did not have a shower. But the bidet made up for that. The sheet cover also had a plastic undercoating. This made me overheat a bit. Minor points... More

Thank you for your comments. For future guests, the Arran Room is the only room that doesn't have a full shower, but has a bath with shower attachment for hair washing. I was pleased to know about the mattress protector causing you to overheat and have replaced it with a breathable one, the same as on all the other beds.... More

Great service even to the extent of providing a lift down to the stunning " Brig O Doon hotel" for an excellent evening meal. Good location for Alloway and Robert Burns attractions.
