I stayed for a business trip, was most impressed with the Daviot. My room was absolutely spotless, cosy comfy beds, immaculate en-suite, fluffy towels, couldn't fault it! The breakfast was really lovely, I agree, the eggs benedict was a total treat! The owner was charming, friendly and nothing was too much trouble. I would definitely recommend The Daviot to anyone... Third time I've stayed at the Daviot. My wife came along this time as I was always telling her about it. Not disappointed. Bedroom and ensuite was great. Breakfast was, as always, wonderful. Only downside was that I had to watch Strictly on the telly!! Thanks again for a very, very good night. More

I was impressed by this lovely house. When I got to meet the owners I found them to be very welcoming and excellent cooks, the breakfast was divine. I recommend the eggs benedict to everyone. We didn't get to meet the owners until the next morning which was a shame but didn't detract from a lovely stay in Ayr. Would... More

The tea and coffee in the room was good quality, not the inferior quality often found in B&Bs. The breakfasts were amazing, and... More

Stayed at 20 B&Bs en route from Lands End to John o'Groats by public transport. As 70 year olds we looked for comfort, quiet, service, reasonable size rooms, good overall value. Daviot was almost least cost of the 20 but offered above average room size and excelled in all respects. Would not hesitate to stay there again and recommend to... More
