I didn't stay at the hotel but did consume a few meals and cappuccinos there. The service was lovely. The outdoor area was nice to watch birds (corn creeks) and ferry comings and goings. The people there were very helpful and friendly.

I've stayed at this hotel with a large group of friends and we've spent 8 wonderful days at the St. Columba. Warm, friendly and charming service, excellent food with many items from the organic garden. The hotel is set in a dream location with view over the Iona Bay, cows grazing on the neighbouring field, the Iona Abbey on the... More

Very clean and comfortable rooms. Ours was classed as a 'small double' but had plenty of room and both a bath and a shower which was a bonus. Excellent hotel location with stunning views, right next to the Abbey and very close to the ferry. Lots of choice for the continental breakfast with many different cereals and juices and including... Lovely hotel in stunning setting. Been to Iona many times but a first staying at the hotel. Very friendly, non-intrusive staff. Fairly basic rooms but I thought good value for £65 (no sea view).Excellent fresh-produce food and v. good value. Ample breakfast in with room price (cereals, dried fruits, toast & coffee/tea & if you are lucky a great homemade... More

Lovely setting, comfortable, quite good food and enjoyed the stay. The only downside was the inexperience of the dining room staff who were inatentive, miserable and appeared to be unhappy working there. I would go back, but only for one night.

Stayed here for a night. Nice place but had a slighly care home feel to it as quite of older generation were here and enjoying the super heated sun lounge looking onto the ruins. Great food and reasonably priced dinner. For 120 quid a night would have been nice to be offered a cooked breakfast as this was not included... More

Thank you for taking the time to post this review. I’m sorry to hear that the atmosphere in the lounge was perhaps not what you were looking for, and we certainly agree that on a sunny day the lounge does get warm. I’m also sorry that you don’t feel your stay with us offered good value. Our remote location, whilst... More

Lovely inventive food with amazing bread. Potted Grab lovely as was the Venison sandwich . We'll overlook the harassed wee bit rude waitress who couldn't quite manage to accommodate a party of 10. The waitress who ended up taking our orders was lovely. Great food in the most amazing setting

We stayed here again in May 2013. Having stayed many times with a number of different hotel owners we still find it a comfortable and informal hotel. Most of the rooms are small but well cared for and the ones with sea views are the best. Some rooms tend to be noisy, near slamming doors or below creaking floorboards and... More

The food is absolutely amazing here just go!! We just had lunch but it was excellent! The service was not the quickest burn the absolute quality of the food made up for it. The only bad thing is there is only one unisex toilet and one disabled toilet

Many thanks for taking the time to post this review. We are definitely not a ‘fast food’ restaurant, so we’re glad to hear that you found the quality of our freshly prepared food was worth a short wait. We’re also aware that at busy times it’s not ideal to only have two public toilets, and this is certainly something we... More

We were made to feel so welcome. The staff are all very friendly and make your stay a real pleasure. The en-suite rooms are bright and spotlessly clean . There is a lovely sunroom overlooking the Sound of Iona where you can watch the sunset cast a beautiful pink glow over Mull. Or can warm by the open fire in... More
