Kilbaha is a small village on the Loop Head Drive in Co. Clare. A group of 4 of us stayed in The Lighthouse, it was only €60.00 each for 2 nights B & B. The rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable and the views from the front bedrooms were fantastic. All the staff are lovely and friendly and you... More

Avoid! Staying here really took away from our trip to this beautiful unspoilt village. The room was small, dirty and depressing! The guesthouse itself wasn't clean and I definitely wouldn't like to eat at the restaurant. The owners were not around.

Bring your own towels, toilet roll, tea, coffee etc. and expect only a room with a lock on the door, a bed and a shower in the corner. This is not classy, proud or charming in any way. It is rough and ready, a place to kip for a night rather than somewhere to relax and have a holiday. Perhaps... More

My partner and I spent two nights at the Lighthouse Inn, Kilbaha recently. We were looking forward to some Irish rustic pub accommodation, but at the Lighthouse had to settle for shabby instead. Our room was dingy with orange walls, a dusty dressing table and a tiny wardrobe - no TV or radio. I was delighted to see a kettle... More

We booked two rooms for bed and breakfast, arrived late and when I checked the en suite there were no towels, the owner wasn't around and as it was late we just went to bed. The lockers were dirty, my son was in the other room and found blood on the sheets, and the locker beside his bed was sticky... More

From the minute you step in the door, Maureen and her daughters make you part of their family. They go out of their way to know you by name, aid your every need and provide you with the most relaxing stay in rural Ireland that you will find. We would recommend going with friends and family, as we did. Maureen... More

This is not a very upscale place--I would call it "rustic." Regardless of the decor, I really enjoyed my stay at the Lighthouse Inn! The inn owner and the staff were wonderful! The views are breathtaking and situated a reasonable distance from other areas of County Clare. The food was good and had no issues with service (breakfast is free,... More

Travelled to The lighthouse Inn fron Kilkee where I was holidaying with my family, for dinner. May I say that We had dinner in this pub a few years previous and it was very nice. The room which we were led into was cold and it was full of flies. My husband ordered the special of the day which was... More

My sister, mom and I stayed in The Lighthouse Inn last week, June, 2010. We had booked several bed and breakfasts for our 9 night stay touring Ireland, but got to our two night stay in Killarney and just didn't like the "big city/touristy" feel. We went searching the internet and found the Lighthouse, an absolute gem in a small,... More

My better half and I spent a few nights at the Lighthouse Inn, Kilbaha, a tiny village at the mouth of the River Shannon in County Clare. In all fairness, this was not my first visit as myself and a number of friends from a Preston fishing club had visited for the past five years running! (That's how much I... More
