First stay on 2012 trip, with the layover and the late flight, we wanted a place somewhat close to airport, yet nearby to food and entertainment. We accomplished that goal nicely as it was a short walk into the heart of town where we immediately found a warm pub with a live band. B&B owner is very pleasant and helpful,... More

This was a very unpleasant place to stay. We felt like we were bothering her. I asked about turning on the heater in the bathroom, she lied and said that it was on a timer. The rooms are clean, but she left the window that was in the ceiling (we couldn't reach it to close it) partially open and the... More

Stayed 2 nights after 2 very long travel days from the US with diversions, missing luggage, miserable driving weather and conditions, and not so restful hotel nights. Marie let us check in early, brought digestives, fresh tea, and let us nap in quiet. It was a blessing to have found this clean, comfortable, reasonably priced, and friendly B& B with... More

Located an easy 10 minute walk out of Ennis town central, this is a quiet and adequate bed and breakfast. Rooms are located on the top floor of the house and we had no problem with noise from the rest of the house. The bathroom was large for the room size and there were two beds in our room -... More

When we arrived, Marie, the landlady, picked us up from the bus station and also dropped us back there for our return bus the next day, which was very kind of her. Stayed in a twin room with ensuite shower room. Both were a good size and were clean. The only minor criticism was that the shower was fairly lukewarm... More

On the one hand, the price was hard to beat. If memory serves, it was only something like 30 or 35 euros a night. And the breakfast was fine. But, I have to concur with the negative reviewers' points. We had a child with us and thus went to bed early. It was, however, difficult to sleep with the constant... More

Marie couldn't have been more hospitable and helpful to us during our 2 night stay. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, a good size and excellent showers. Other niceties like soap and shower gel also provided. An excellent breakfast too. Ennis is a lovely town and Stonehaven B & B is the icing on the cake. If you are... More

I for one completely disagree with the last post. I stayed at the B&B in the same month and really loved it. The owner Marie, while a little shy couldn't do enough to help us, especially with local info and recommendations for restaurants etc. The whole family, and especially the kids were so friendly, made us feel at home in... We stayed 2 nights at Stonehaven in May 07. I could harp on little details like the bedroom floor being covered in dust bunnies and Marie (the unsocial innkeeper) not bothering to refill our tea station after the first night, but what makes this place absolutely unacceptable is the sound of slamming doors that constantly comes from the first floor.... We stayed in Stone Haven for four nights in June, and it was a very pleasant stay. The triple room, with three single beds, was very nice. The en suite bathroom was small but had a nice sunroof to let in the light. There was some traffic noise from the street out front, but it died down at night sufficiently... More
