The location of this hotel is seriously excellent, for those tourists who have a car and are wanting to see Blarney Castle, do some excellent shopping and walk to excellent restaurants/bars. Very nice hotel in the centre of Blarney. Walking distance to the Blarney Stone if you want to pay €12 for the privilege of kissing it. Due to a family get together, we had an overnight stay here, and wished we had an extra day. On arrival the receptionist was friendly and helpful. Due to my own mistake I had booked 2 rooms on incorrect dates, and therefore I arrived 1 day to late according to my booking. Arrived at hotel and the room was not ready Went for walk and when we returned only bed made and bathroom not cleaned. Spoke to receptionist who was very helpful and as a courtesy we were upgraded to a better room.The food in the bar nearby was also of a poor qualityand staff were not very helpful.Blarney Woollen mills needs... Staff very helpful and my Dutch friend who was with me said she loved the irish welcome . The food was good. The blarney castle is near by, and enjoyed kissing the blarney stone. The town of blarney is well looked after by the local people, so go and a have a nice walk around the town, we did.
