It was spacious and clean. The kitchen is nice, along with the other shared spaces. I would highly recommend staying here. The staff are very friendly and willing to help. Staying at Isaac's really made my trip to Dublin great. Such a great value too!

This is one of the best hostels, I have had the pleasure of staying in. I had a private for 39 euro's a night ! The room had new flooring, comfortable bunk bed and new furniture. The bathrooms are very clean and modern. The basement has recently been remodeled with plenty of activities. I only stayed here a night but... More

I was in Dublin for one night and needed a place to stay. Found this hostel for 9€ a night and went with it. It's in a dodgy laneway just off Lower Gardiner Street, a street in Dublin renowned to be one of the roughest. Staff were very friendly, there was a great buzz around the main areas. I stayed... We stayed at 3 hostels in Dublin. This was the worst. I am not normally negative, but here is why we did not like this hostel: One staff member was rude. There are few common areas, only one great hall when you enter. Some room (ours) are very noisy. There is no air conditioning meaning you have to leave your... More

Good for college students. This is really a place for young backpackers as it has a college dorm atmosphere. It's quite loud (music blares in the lobby and sounds travel through the halls) and lively. Having to use your key card for several doors is a bit of an inconvenience along with the push taps in the bathrooms and showers.... More

Isaac's can't be beat for their location - just steps from the bus/train station, you won't have far to drag heavy bags on your way in and out of town. The baggage lockers in the basement are big enough for two travelers to lock up everything they have - which helps, since the bunk beds don't have any locker space... More

The key-card for our room stopped to work. We had all our stuff in there and where going to pick up some things before we were going out to eat. I asked the staff at the reception for help. They where all drunk, and told me to go up to the top floor and try again. When I asked them... More

I stay there for 6 nights in August 2011 in a single room. All the staff at the reception was very nice. You get your key card which gives you access to staircase, then it opens your floor door and then you room door – so you are pretty safe. :) The biggest worry for me, before the trip, was... More

The breakfast was the best breakfast I've had so far at a hostel, not much of a variety (toast, butter, different kinds of jam, cornflakes, milk, coffee, orange juice) but very clean and organized. Good and cheap beer (and weekly burger specials)available in the beer garden. Rooms and facilities were looked after although one only gets knifes and other utensils... More
