I was really nervous staying at a hostel for the first time. I had no reason to because it was so great. The room was clean, and the locker was big enough to fit my giant suitcase. The front desk staff could be friendlier. But even travelling alone, I felt very safe. I made new friends and the location was... More

I recently spent several weeks travelin gin Ireland, and each time I found myself back in Dublin I stayed at the Generator. The hsotel is in a great location- right by the Smithfield Luas stop, as well as the Old Jameson Distillery hop-on, hop-off tour bus stop, which was great for sight-seeing. The room was perfectly clean, the facilities had... More

Brilliant hostel! We had a private room and it was immaculate! The atmosphere in the hostel is great and a good vibe to base for a girls weekend away. Great place to base yourself from location wise, next to tour bus and not far to walk to areas. Overall a great experience, and recommended to everyone. Fantastic value for your... More

I was a week in this hostel, and its the first time I was to share room with people who I didn't know, It was a surprise for me the cleanliness and the staff who was really helpful in everything! The situation is really good as well, just 10 min to get in the city center. Thank you very much!... More

I stayed with 5 other friends, the hostel was clean in all areas. Only thing was that there are only one male and one female bathrooms, soil you aren't on the right floor you have to walk up or down the stairs to get to it. The hostel is right next to the Jamison factory, you can walk to the... More

Just got back from my 3 day stag, biggest negative, sharing a room with 5 other guys for 3 nights! The location is just North side of the river, and 15 mins from Temple Bar, which can be a blessing as you're not permanently embedded, but there are cafe's, bars, and a mini market within seconds, and that's before you... It was cheap and clean. I was surprised by the number of young kids, though... We weren't expecting that. Average staff helpfulness. Definitely not as close to the city center as they lead on to. Not much room for activities in the six bed room we were in. But we didn't spend much time there. It was very modern.

Maybe the nicest hostel I've stayed at. In a safe, recently renovated area of Dublin, and right by the Smithfield Luas (light rail) station. Walking distance to the city center and many tourist attractions. My only complaint is that my room key stopped working several times... I had to have my key replaced four times in two days, and my... More

The building is very nice, and the rooms are clean, but I left with an impression of having spent a few days in a bunker. There is almost no day light in the whole building. The staff was nice but generally to busy to be helpful. The worse part however was the bathroom and toilets - you had to go... More
